The current Ecuadorian president has revoked the Code of Ethics previously established by the previous administration. Instead, it has enacted a new Code of Ethics consisting of 21 articles.
This new document addresses several areas, such as family relations, the use of the presidential aircraft and state vehicles, transparency and access to public information, as well as non-discrimination and fair treatment in government agencies.
All these norms are applicable to all members of the Government Cabinet, from the President to the managers of public companies linked to the Executive, according to Decree 86 issued by Noboa on December 19, 2023.
