On April 26, 2024, the Superintendency of Companies, Securities and Insurance (Superintendencia de Compañías, Valores y Seguros, Supercias), by resolution No. SCVS-INPAI-2024-0000898, granted an extension so that the companies subject to its control have more time to submit their financial statements for the year 2023.
The delivery of information to this control body and the payment of the contribution was due until April 30 of the current year, however, with this extension it will be possible to do so until May 31, 2024. Even with the extension of time, two particularities must be taken into account:
The financial statements may be uploaded to the SuperCias platform ( www.supercias.gob.ec ) without any restrictions until May 26, 2024.
As of May 27, 2024, it will be different. The financial statements may be uploaded to the platform according to the ninth digit of the company's RUC, as follows:
If these new deadlines are not met, the SuperCias will proceed with the sanctions prescribed by law. It should be noted that the Superintendency has indicated that this extension is granted in order to safeguard due process and under the State of Exception ordered by the President of the Republic.
